With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Holy Name Green Wave

Team Name: Holy Name Green Wave
Head Coach: Dennis Markiewicz
Division: II
2015 Record: 18-10
Conference Record: NCL, 9-1
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 3/1

2016 Team Strengths:

• Speed
• Defense
• Starting Pitching

2016 Team Weaknesses:

• Youth
• Experience

Coach Outlook: "We will be very young, 2- 9th graders, 2- 10th grader, 1-senior. We will get better as the season goes on. Two 9th graders throw in the low-80s and the one sophomore is also in the 80s. The senior has great off speed junk."

PBR Outlook: The Green Wave and coach Markiewicz have a talented group that should compete with all the teams on their schedule. Come tournament time will be when the Green Wave look to make their mark.
