With the 2016 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state.

Starting February 1st, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2016 Spring Team Preview: Kettering Fairmont Firebirds

Team Name: Kettering Fairmont Firebirds
Head Coach: Kent Drake

2015 Record: 18-8
Conference Record: GWOC Central, 18-8
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 8/6

2016 Team Strengths:

2016 Team Weaknesses:

  • Outfield Depth
  • Relief Pitching

Coach Outlook: "We return the bulk of our line-up. We have a good deal of experience from our Junior class."

PBR Outlook: Coach Drake and the Firebirds return most of their lineup that performed well in 2015 with 18 wins. The mix of talented upper and lower classmen should have the Firebirds contending in 2016.
