With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Kalida Wildcats

Team Name: Kalida Wildcats
Head Coach: Joe Recker
Division: IV
2018 Record: 17-8
Conference Record: Putnam County League, 7-0 (1st)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 7/6

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching
  • Defense

Coach Outlook: "We expect our pitching staff to carry us to another successful season. With the experience we return, if we can improve on offense, I like our chances to make a nice tournament run."

PBR Outlook: The Wildcats and coach Joe Recker look to be a team to contend with all year in Division IV. With the pitching staff the Wildcats have, look for them to be in all games and be a team to watch in D-IV.
