With the 2018 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2018 Spring Team Preview: Lakota West Firebirds
Team Name: Lakota West Firebirds
Head Coach: Greg Leurk

2017 Record: 25-6
Conference Record: Greater Miami Conference, 15-3, 1st
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 3/1
Team Strengths:

Coach Outlook: “We have 10 players returning from last year's roster, which is half. Our team should be strong up the middle defensively. We return our number 2 starter from last year's Final Four team.”
PBR Outlook: A Final Four run a year ago has coach Greg Leurk and the Firebirds fired up for the prospects of the 2018 season. Returning half the roster, including a healthy Keegan Fish will have Lakota West in the running to make a push come tournament time.
