Bo Jackson Elite 15u Colts Elite vs Viking Elite - 6/2/18
Caleb Jenkins RHP / C / Hilliard Bradley, OH / 2021
Report: Jenkins is a 2021 RHP/2B with tall, athletic build. The 6-foot-1, 170 lbs physical prospect has a high ceiling of potential. The 2nd baseman can be projected as both a pitcher and position player at the next level. At 2nd base, he has above average footwork when fielding groundballs and moving around the bag. He stays low and fields the ball cleanly. Transitions were quick. He displays above average arm strength. At the plate, the RHH did not fail to impress. He starts with a balanced setup and has a simple load with leg kick. The barrel gets through the zone with his above average bat speed. Displayed the ability to hit to all sides of the field. Uses his whole lower body to drive the baseball. Generates a lot of power with his smooth swing. Has average speed on the bases, but plays the game with a lot of heart, grit and hustle. Had 2 singles, 2 RBIs in game play. A definite prospect to follow, needs to be seen on the mound.
