With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Princeton Vikings

Team Name: Princeton Vikings
Head Coach: Rick Wilson
Division: I
2018 Record: 5-19
Conference Record: Greater Miami conference, 3-15
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/4

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Senior Leadership
  • Error Free Defense
  • Speed on Bases

Coach Outlook: "We return 6 kids that are seniors now that have seen extensive Varsity experience (out of necessity) since freshman year. Taking a beating in the brutal G.M.C. against much larger schools. I feel we have a fighting chance this year."

PBR Outlook: The GMC is as difficult a league as there is and Princeton saw that first handed in 2018, but with a number of senior leaders back in 2019, look for the Vikings to be competitive in 2019.

  • Bryce Burton,1B, senior, 5'10" 195 L/L 4-year starter. 2nd. Team G.M.C.Last year stats: .385AVG.492 on base % 
  • Jordan Edrington (Video), 3B/P, senior,5'9" 165 R/R 4-year starter. 338 AVG. 436 on base %. 
  • Bryce Fluker, OF/P, senior, 5'9" 170, R/R 4-year starter. Team Pitcher of Year. 
  • Jarred Walker, SS,5'9" 165 R/R 3-year starter.
  • Clay Lewis, C, junior 5'9" 165 R/L 382 AVG. 500 on base % 3-year starter. 
  • Nate Rogers, 2B, junior 5'8" 160 R/R 2-year starter.
  • Chance Strickley, P/inf, senior 6'4" 195 2 year starter. Led team in innings & K.
