JUCO Player Spotlight - Murray State JC: Braden Corley
May 3, 2021
The uncommitted Sophomore has shown both his both his durability and pitchability this Spring for Murray State JC. The lefty has thrown 5 complete games this Spring with a respectable 5.19 ERA and nearly a 4:1 strikeout to walk ratio. Corley works the fastball in the low to mid 80's but does a good job of hiding the ball behind the body creating deception. He also shows a good feel for a quality curveball with some depth and action to the glove side to compliment his arm side fading changeup with good hand speed and sell. He could fit a number of roles at the next level for a pitching staff both as a reliable strike throwing starter or possibly even as a left handed specialist.
