OK Player of the Week: Week 4

Andy Urban
OK/MO/KS Scouting Supervisor

PBR Oklahoma will cover a player or the week or pitcher and player of the week for every week of the season this year. We will use coach and player submissions as well as notes from our own scouting to choose each every week.

Payton Tolle LHP / 1B / Bethany, OK / 2021

In five games last week Tolle produced one of the most impressive weeks we have ever seen. The left-handed hitter blasted five home runs, 3 doubles, and drove in 15 runs. On the mound, the 6-foot-7, 230-pound left-handed Wichita State commit tossed the first six innings of a combine no-hitter punching out 12 featuring a fastball up to 92 mph.

Honorable Mentions

Bode Brooks RHP / OF / Tuttle, OK / 2021

The OU commit went 9-for13 on the week with three doubles, a triple, 10 RBIs, and eight walks at the plate.

On the mound, the right-hander tossed five innings, punching out 10 and allowed just one earned run.

Brooks is now hitting near .600 on the year and is 5-0 with 51 strikeouts and allowed just eight hits and one earned run through 25 IP on the mound.

Brooks Miller 3B / RHP / Pryor , OK / 2021

We missed this one last week. Miller went 6-for-13 last week with two home runs, six RBIs, and four stolen bases. The Neosho CC commit is hitting well over .500 on on the year.

Parker Whittle RHP / 1B / Regent Preparatory, OK / 2021

Whittle tossed a no-hitter last week punching out 16 of the 18 batters he faced in the time shorted game. Whittle is also hitting just under .500 on the year.
