PBR OK strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

This fall, PBR OK will be highlighting some of the top ranked and uncommitted players in the 2018 Class as they prepare to enter their senior seasons. Today, we look at a projectable arm that been putting on velo quickly, RHP L.J. McDonough from Blanchard.

Scouting Report

10/29/16

A 6-foot-2, 160-pound long limbed, slender build with room to grow. A methodical delivery, sinks into front leg, arm gets extended in  back then shortens up to a high 3/4 slot, some arm quickness out front. Fastball keeps its plane, 81-84 mph, with some deception.  Breaking ball flashed some depth, 70-72 mph, 11/5 shape. McDonough racked up two strikeouts, and induced three lazy fly ball, and walked three in two innings of work.

9-20-17

A 6-foot-2 170-pound long and athletic frame. Works from a controlled and smooth delivery. Strides slightly across his body, sinking into his legs, and delivers the ball from a 3/4 slot. Fastball sits 86-87 and touches 88 mph with deception, jumping on hitters. Slider shows late 10/4 shape with depth, 73-74 mph. Erratic at times, but command looks to be improving.
