Season Outlook
There will be no shortage of experience for the McLoud  this season as they look to reverse their record from a year ago. The Redskins will return eight players with starting experience along with six arms that threw at least 15 innings a piece last year. Relying on a strong front line of arms and experience, McLoud will look to make a push for the state tournament this season.

On the mound, the Redskins will be lead by recent Oklahoma commit, Wyatt Olds. Olds is an athletic upper 80’s right-hander that throws a sinker and slider from just above a slide arm slot. Joining Olds in the rotations will likely be a pair of left-handers. Senior Trayce Abbott is among the best uncommitted seniors in the state with a mid 80’s fastball with good movement. Junior Josh Maddox will charge the zone and feature a big breaking ball. Also throwing important innings for McLoud will be seniors Jase Mehring and Isiah Nanaeto.

Leading the charge offensively may be Zac Green. Green shows good hand eye with a simple swing and the ability to run. Also doing damage in the lineup to go along with their work on the mound will be Mehring, Olds, and Maddox. Koalton Keller will make important contributions to the run scoring as well.

Defensively, it will be many of the same players that stand out for McLoud. Green will be charged with roaming centerfield with strong armed Abbott next to him in right field. On the infield, the lest side will be strong with an athletic Olds at shortstop and Mehring to his right at third base.  The left-handed Maddox will be receiving the throws at first base.
