The Buzz: Kohlhepp Chooses The Razorbacks

Already with the No. 2 prospect in Wisconsin’s 2019 class, Arkansas swooped in and committed another top prospect. This time, the Razorbacks got SS/RHP Tanner Kohlhepp (Eau Claire Memorial HS, WI), who is ranked sixth in the state’s Class of 2018. Kohlhepp blew up at the Future Games. After showing loose hands and easy pop, he got on the mound where he featured an 86-87 mph fastball and a wipeout slider at 75-77. Since 2013, Arkansas has committed the likes of 2013 OF Clark Eagan (Appleton North HS, WI), 2016 C Ben Rortvedt (Verona HS, WI) and 2019 C Nathan Stevens (Waunakee HS, WI) from the Badger State.
