PBR OK strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

This fall and winter, PBR OK will be highlighting some of the top ranked and uncommitted players in the 2018 Class as they prepare to enter their senior seasons. Today, we look at a crafty LHP and LHH that finds barrels, Brendon Timmons, Dewey HS.

Scouting Report

10/29/17
A 5-foot-11, 205-pound muscular frame with strength. Pitches with a smooth, average tempo delivery using a high leg kick with a slight coil at the top before gliding down the mound. Arm action is full and fluid coming through an over the top with some quickness. Fastball sits 79-80 with some downhill tilt. Changeup shows late fade, thrown with full arm speed, well commanded, 71-72 mph. Curveball shows 1/7-2/8 shape with gradual break, 67-68 mph. Timmons filled up the zone in the game using mainly the fastball, but flashed an excellent changeup when he threw it. Offensively, the left-handed hitter bats from a narrow, open, and upright stance with excellent rhythm in his hands. Uses a smooth and moderate stride for timing, launches his quick and strong hands on a flat path through extension. In BP, shows the ability to drive the ball with power to all fields, but is most natural going to the middle and opposite fields. Found consistent barrel with much more strength and pop than his 80 mph exit velo would suggest, one of the best rounds of the day.  Runs an 8.02 Defensively, shows clean and consistent actions around the bag with solid footwork, top velo of 77 mph to first base with accuracy. In the game, smoked a line drive single up the middle.
