ATLANTIC

Evan Gibbons 3B / Horton , NS / 2022

Gibbons, a 6’2, 214lbs uncommitted third baseman for the Kentville Wildcats has some pop in the bat that can translate well at the next level. In the infield Gibbons has a big frame for either corner infield position. He moves well at third with a short arm action across the diamond. At the plate Gibbons has some pop in the bat with an exit velo up to 91mph. He starts his high hands and gets on plane with a flat bat through the zone. Can definitely see him running into a couple balls. An interesting look for college programs looking for a bat.

ONTARIO

Brendan Lawson SS / 3B / Lawrence Park , ON / 2024

Lawson, a 6’3, 185lbs uncommitted SS/3B for the Ontario Blue Jays doesn’t lack the ability to do it all on the baseball field. He was a major standout at the plate and in the field at the New Year Open event in Ontario. The swing is compact and loaded with lots of barrels to the gaps. He does a good job staying inside the baseball and having a flat bat through the zone. In the infield the hands and footwork stand out as everything looks smooth and relaxed. The arm has some carry to it and is very projectable on the left side of the infield. One of the top infielders in the class of 2024, Lawson is a name to look out for.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

Elijah Olaybal OF / LHP / Walnut Grove , BC / 2023

Olaybal, a 5’8, 175lbs uncommitted OF/P for the Langley Blaze has a lot going for him on both sides of the field. At the plate the hands are loaded with short actions, gets on time with a leg kick and wide base. Has a pull-side approach to his swing. In the outfield Olaybal can cover some ground out there with an arm that keeps on improving. On the mound he displays a 3-pitch mix with good command on all his pitches. The arm action is short and whippy with a repeated delivery on all his pitches. Will be no shortage of college programs looking out for Olaybal.

ALBERTA

Luke Wilson OF / C / Sir Winston Churchill, AB / 2022

Wilson, a 6’0, 215lbs Colby CC commit out of the Calgary Bucks program has a good frame that will translate well at the college level. At the plate Wilson has an upright swing with a smooth rhythm in his load. Can spray the ball to all parts of the field on a line. Has a quality exit velo that has been up 92 mph. Behind the plate the hands are quick with a short transfer. The feet move quickly with no extra steps on his throw downs. In the outfield the arm is short and quick while getting his body behind his throws. Can definitely see more velo coming in the future. A solid left-handed bat to have in Colby’s lineup next season.

QUEBEC

Wyliam Coulombe 3B / 2B / De Mortagne, QC / 2023

Coulombe, an interesting 5’7, 180lbs uncommitted infielder for the ABC has a loud bat that colleges should jump on. At the plate the swing is geared towards loft on his hits with solid barrels to the pull side. Gets extended with his hands, barrels whips through the zone flat and loaded. In the infield Coulombe stays in his legs well with a short arm action on his throws. Can see him at 2nd base at the college level with a bat that will drive in runs. With a big body that is still growing Coulombe should be on a lot of schools radars.
