Holiday Hitters - London: Quick Hits II

Josh Arce
Scout, PBR Canada

The first showcase in our three-part Holiday Hitters Series in Ontario took place on Tuesday, December 27th with 19 hitters in attendance at the The Batter's Box.

The event allowed players to update their profile and hitting metrics in an intimate setting with players receiving several rounds of extended batting practice, collecting data through our tech partner TrackMan

We continue our post-event coverage below with the second set of quick hits, providing video and analysis on four more standouts.

Trent Rudge RHP / 3B / Essex District , ON / 2026

Rudge, 5-foot-10, 215-pounds, immediately stood out when he walked in the building. XL physical right-handed bat that produced multiple 90+ EV’s with a max of 96.3 mph. He starts in an open stance with a low leg kick for timing. He doesn't get cheated at the plate, swinging with intent every time. Rudge is one of the most physical 2026’s in Canada and will be a close follow going forward.

Jayden Pavao RHP / 3B / Bishop Tonnos, ON / 2025

Pavao, 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, looked the part in the box in London yesterday. From the left-side, Pavao showed a repeatable swing that produced consistent line-drives to his pull-side. Strong, athletic frame with a quiet load, when he catches it out front he gets the barrel extended. Good overall showing from the Hamilton Cardinal product.

Aidan Doyle OF / London South collegiate institute , ON / 2024

Doyle, 6-foot, 172-pounds, took some impressive swings in London at the Holiday Hitters Event.  He showed a quick bat with flat hands through the zone and good extension. Got the ball in the air consistently and ended up with the top max distance (331 ft.). There's a lot to like about the projectable left-handed hitter after an impressive showing.

Lucas Bailey RHP / 3B / A.B Lucas, ON / 2025

Bailey, 5-foot-10, 160-pounds, was one of the more impressive hitters in London yesterday. Starts with his hands high, uses a long leg kick for timing. Finished the day with the top average distance (205 ft), top sweet spot per cent (80%), and the top line drive per cent (58%) at the event. Bailey showed he can handle the bat, although there is a lot to like on the mound, as well.
