2018 PBR Future Games Preview: Team Pennsylvania Third Basemen

Greg Williams
Pennsylvania Director of Scouting

2018 marks the 7th year that Pennsylvania will be represented in the PBR Future Games. This one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted Class of 2020 & select 2021 prospects from our 35-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place on August 1 - 4 (Wednesday-Saturday) at Grand Park, a state-of-the-art 22-field baseball complex located in Westfield, IN, just north of Indianapolis.

The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2020/2021 prospects. Last year, more than 250 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance, making it arguably the most heavily recruited event of the summer.

Today we continue a preview of the 19 prospects that will represent the Keystone State as members of Team Pennsylvania with a look at a pair of 2020 third basemen.

Team Pennsylvania Third Basemen

Peter Capobianco 3B / 2B / Dallastown Area, PA / 2020

2018 Preseason All-State Showcase
6-foot, 195-pound right-handed hitter took an impressive round of batting practice displaying present power to the pull side with easy, repeatable swing mechanics. Starts from an open stance and uses a controlled lift-and-replace to get back to square. Hands and hips work well in unison and hands work well through contact. Registered a bat exit velocity of 87 mph and flashed present power to the pull side. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash and showcased active feet defensively while playing through the baseball routinely. Showcased 80 mph arm strength with more in the tank and an ability to make plays on the move. Capobianco was added to the Team Pennsylvania roster for the 2018 PBR Future Games shortly after the completion of the event.

Wyatt Henseler 3B / RHP / Emmaus , PA / 2020

2018 Preseason All-State Showcase
6-foot, 180-pound two-way prospect turned in one of the top performances of any player in attendance over the course of the two day event. The right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and utilizes a leg lift stride to initiate his swing. Displayed current power with the ability to create back spin and a bat exit velocity of 95 mph. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash and flashed 90 mph arm strength across the diamond from third base defensively. Showcased a soft glove hand and an ability to play through the baseball while making the slow roller play look routine. The right-hander was just as impressive on the mound sitting 87-88 from a high 3/4 arm slot working solely out of the stretch. Long, loose arm motion with some hip coil in the stack that adds to deception. Curveball showed 11/5 rotation at 71-72 with occasional two-plane break. Changeup sat 75-77 with some sink at fastball arm speed.
