2021 Chipola Fall Classic Standouts

CJ Butts

The 2021 Chipola Fall Classic took place Friday, September 17th - Sunday, September 19th at Chipola College in Marianna, FL. The event featured 9 of the top JUCOs from throughout the Southeast. Tons of talent was on display this past weekend. Check out the biggest standouts from the Sunshine State.

Jake Madden, FR, RHP, Northwest Florida State

Madden impressed as soon as he stepped on the bump. Carries a high-waisted, lanky frame that possesses a ton of flexibility. He ran the heater up to 95 mph and looks to have more in the tank considering the frame and arm action. He ran into some trouble with command issues but will obviously be a high follow with the velocity and potential wipe-out slider.

Will Cannon, FR, RHP, Northwest Florida State

The freshman righty has made some strides in his game, pitching with intent and confidence as he attacked the zone with a quick fastball that has some arm side run and a slider with short, sharp bite. He routinely got ahead in the count and trusted his stuff leading him to an efficient outing.
