SCOUTING REPORT
2014 Elite Prospect Showcase (November 1, 2014) All chit-chat among coaches ceased when Testa began slamming balls off the back net of the facility with a top exit velocity of 97-mph. The right-handed hitter has a high back elbow and rocks back to load, while the ball screams off his bat due to his physical strength and bat speed. Defensively, he fielded the ball a bit deep and would benefit from improved agility around the bag, but showed solid hands and an 80-mph arm. Standing at a hulking 6-foot-2, 230-pounds with a 97-mph exit velocity, Testa has the raw power to leave any yard. He generates his juice via a strong lower half with very good hip torque and bat speed. He has some swing-and-miss to his game that currently doesn't allow him to consistently tap into his full power potential, but his size and bat speed are a rare combination at the high school level.
