FOUR FOR THOUGHT:


It was a brief stint on the mound for 2020 RHP Alex Edmondson (Mauldin HS, SC), but more than enough to see why he is one of the top arms in the class. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Clemson recruit came in to close out the game for Team Elite Prime-Braves Scout Team early on in the day, and produced a short, dominant performance. His fastball sat 90-91 as he utilized his long, loose frame to his advantage, getting down the mound before extending close to the plate. His long, loose arm stroke allowed for some whippy-quickness, and he was able to procure some run to the arm side. Countering his impressive fastball, Edmondson ripped off a couple very impressive, 11/5 curveballs that exhibited multi-tier break while procuring sill swings and misses. Edmondson has clean movement patterns, and his athleticism promises much more to come, especially as his proportionally strong frame continues to develop.

Experiencing his first time on a major national stage, uncommitted 2020 RHP Jake Madden (East Pennsboro HS, PA) saw a plethora of radar guns go up behind the back stop for each of his pitches.
