The fall schedule of outdoor PBR events in Pennsylvania concluded this past weekend with the 2016 Eastern PA Fall Review at Widener University. Over 30 prospects from two states gathered to showcase their abilities during the course of two nine-inning games and a showcase. Today we continue our analysis of the prospects in attendance by taking a look at catchers.

Billy Davis, 2017, Carlisle
6-foot, 200-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from a slightly open stance and strides to slightly closed. Barrel wrap creates some length, while he hit through contact well and used the middle of the field during his BP round. Showed some pop with an 84 mph exit velo and driving the ball to left- and center-field during game play. Posted workout pop times of 2.15-2.25 with arm strength of 72 mph from the crouch. Set wide with high hips and showed a clean ball-to-ear transfer.

Connor Landry, 2017, Cumberland Valley
6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from a square stance and would benefit from staying square with his stride instead of stepping in the bucket. Big, circular pre-swing barrel action inhibits ability to repeat swing and be on time. Posted workout pop times of 2.25-2.37 with arm strength of 68 mph from the crouch. Could lower times by shortening arm action and syncing feet with the catch, as he currently doesn't get them started until after he receives the baseball.

Luke Weigel, 2018, Lampeter-Strasburg
6-foot-3, 210-pound right-handed hitter who starts from a square stance and incorporates a short stride. Showed some feel for staying inside the ball and creating backspin during his BP round, although he tended to get around the ball and hook it during game action. Long and strong with 85 mph exit velocity. Posted workout pop times of 2.09-2.22 and showed a short release when his transfer was clean. Would benefit from quieting glove action prior to receiving the baseball.
