Scouting Report

2.17.18 - Gregory has a lean and athletic frame at 6-foot, 160-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.41 seconds. Recorded an exit velo of 84 MPH. Offensively, starts in a slightly open and balanced stance. Hands begin below shoulder height, close to his body. Elbow starts and stays parallel to the ground. Small stride, while hands stay locked in position. Hands stay inside the baseball.  Quiet, short to the baseball. Explosive hips. Hits line drives to all fields. One-handed finish. Defensively, took reps behind the plate. Topped out at 71 MPH on his throws to bases. Is quick to hop from his crouch to a throwing position. Feet are slightly open while throwing. Transfers the baseball wherever he receives it. Recorded pop times ranging from 2.20-2.39 seconds.

2.12.17 - 5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a very short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Shows a deep hand position, with little load and an aggressive lower half turn on the ball with the ability to create backspin leading to a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash and showcased pop times of 2.40-2.47 on throws of 65 mph from the crouch. Sound receiver and blocker will see improved pop times with improved arm strength and work to shorten up footwork.
