Just 10 days remain until PBR Pennsylvania's Elite Prospect Showcase on October 29th at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim. Today, we continue a series of previews on prospects who will be in attendance, as we highlight Knoch 2018 C Dylan Swarmer.
The junior impressed at the Western PA Fall Review in September. The 6-foot, 180-pound catcher has above average tools with the potential to be a quality defender at the next level. Swarmer flashed pop times of 2.09-2.16 with solid carry on throws of 75 mph from the crouch. Some minor changes in his transfer could lead to those times creeping towards the 2.00 mark. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and uses a leg-lift to initiate his swing. Swarmer showed above average barrel whip (91 mph bat exit velocity) with some present power.
