Scouting Report
8.16.18 - 5-foot-10, 160-pounder flashed advanced catch and throw abilities with pop times of 1.96-2.05 on throws of 78 mph from the crouch. Also showcased similar pop times during three games of tournament action. Quiet receiver beats the baseball to the spot and presents a soft wall when blocking. 7.05 runner is a switch-hitter with a line drive approach from the right side of the plate and a bit longer swing path with more pop from the left side. Displayed solid plate discipline in game action with four walks in seven official at bats. Registered 84 mph bat exit velocity and showed the ability create backspin from the left side.
1.10.15 - Moshos packs a big punch in his 5-foot-2, 120-pound frame. The 8th grader shows solid swing mechanics from both sides of the plate with a leg lift load from the right side that leads to solid barrel whip. Moshos shows good balance and rhythm to his swing from both sides, utilizing a toe tap stride from the left side to initiate his hands. He flashed well above average catch and throw skills from behind the dish with pop times of 2.19-2.25. As he develops physically, Moshos will be a catcher to follow closely in this class.
