Dustin Lander (South Side HS) is one of the top left-handed pitchers uncommitted in the PA Class of 2015. Currently ranked No. 84 in the class, the 5-foot-11, 170-pound junior compiled a 3-2 record and a 2.17 ERA in 2012. Lander's freshman season numbers of 5-2 with a 1.96 ERA were even more impressive.
Lander showed well at the 2012 PA Underclass Games following his freshman season. In the past 15 months, he has added 20 pounds to his frame and four MPH to his fastball. He currently sits in the low 80s out of a high 3/4 arm slot. His curveball has tight rotation and solid downward action. His changeup shows signs of being a solid third pitch with cutting action at 70 mph. He will showcase his abilities on the mound during Day Two of the Preseason All-State Showcase in February.
