After drilling down into our google analytics we have compiled a list of the ten most visited Pennsylvania profiles on the Prep Baseball Report website in 2014. Over the next ten days we will count down to the end of the year with a look at those profiles that were most viewed.
Schellenger is a 6-foot-6, 195-pound RHP pitcher who attended Devon Prep. He was named 1st-team all-Bicentennial Independence as a junior and was selected to participate on the Northeast team in the 2013 Area Code Games. He runs his fastball up to the low 90s with command of a curveball, slider, changeup mix.
Schellenger made a steady climb through the Class of 2014 rankings in Pennsylvania over his final two years of high school on his way to the No. 1 position in the state rankings. The 6-foot-6, 195-pound righty sat 87-89, but was as high as 92 mph during the late summer and fall of his senior season. Schellenger delivers his fastball from a slot slightly above three-quarters, getting plenty of sink and missing plenty of bats as a result. His slider at 80-82 makes the fastball that much more effective.
Schellenger suffered an injury that prevented him from participating in much of his senior season at Devon Prep. The talented righty is now applying his craft at Seton Hall University.
