Scouting Report

2017 PBR Future Games - Team Pennsylvania

4/12/17 First look at in-game action for the 5-foot-11, 155-pound two-way prospect. Certainly passed the eye test moving athletically in the outfield with solid reads and made an athletic one hop throw to the plate to hold a runner at third to save a run. Right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 with a double and two walks. Does not get cheated and turned around 87 mph fastball for double in key extra inning AB. Shined on the mound in 3.1 scoreless innings of relief. Sat 83-85, touching 86 multiple times, from a controlled, repeatable delivery. Curveball showed sharp 1/7 break at 70 mph and changeup was very effective at 76-77 with late sink.

2/12/17 A high-level prospect with advanced feel on the mound, the 5-foot-11, 155-pound right-handed hitter is no slouch with the bat in his hands either. Starts from an open, narrow stance and strides to slightly closed. Loads to low launch point with hands hidden some behind his body, leading to an uphill path with some length. Flashes very good bat speed with 87 mph exit velocity and swings with an intent to elevate the baseball. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Athletic to the baseball defensively with quick, active feet and 87 mph arm strength.

2/12/17 5-foot-11, 155-pound two-way prospect really stood out on the mound. Showcased a deliberate, repeatable delivery with a quick arm and gets above average drive off his backside. Sat 84-85 from a 3/4 arm slot with more to come. Curveball shows slurvy, 2/8 action with more lateral than vertical break at this point at 70-73. Thrown at fastball arm speed and will become an above average pitch for him in the near future. Changeup is thrown at near fastball arm speed with excellent command at 77-78.
