4/5/17 In an early spring look at the Kentucky commit, Marsh sat 86-88 early with solid feel for his changeup at 77-80. While he used his 1/7 breaking curveball sparingly it continues to show signs of becoming a solid third pitch at 72-73. Worked four innings with 9 strikeouts and one earned run allowed on two hits. Velocity settled in at 84-86 in his 3rd and 4th innings of work.

2/12/17 Two-way prospect continues to show incremental progress on the mound. Increased tempo and arm speed has led to fastball velocity jumping several ticks over the past year. On this occasion the 6-foot-2, 215-pound lefty sat 87-89 while topping at 90 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot. Curveball showed improvement at 70-72 with 1/7 rotation and occasional two-plane break while still not being thrown with fastball intent. Changeup continues to be a well above average pitch at 75-77 with armside run and sink. The Kentucky recruit has advanced feel for the pitch and is able to locate it with regularity.

2/12/17 6-foot-2, 215-pound Kentucky commit. Two-way prospect continues to show the skill set that will likely afford him opportunity to get on the diamond as a two-way guy at the next level. Left-handed hitter set an event record with a 101 mph bat exit velocity. Starts from a square stance and uses a leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Clears lower half well allowing hands to work freely through the zone creating above average back spin. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash and makes all the plays defensively at first base while throwing from multiple arm angles in rhythm. Showcased 90 mph arm strength across the diamond.

8/4/16 6-foot-2, 210-pound two-way prospect. Worked three scoreless innings out of a high 3/4 arm slot on the weekend. Sat 84-86 while working both sides of the plate with solid tempo to his delivery. Also mixed a changeup with advanced feel at 78 mph and an improving curveball with 1/7 rotation at 73 mph. Displayed present power from his left-handed swing (99 mph bat exit) with a tripled to the center field wall. Moves well around the bag at first base and runs well enough to handle corner outfield duties as well (7.19 laser timed 60-yard dash).

7/20/16 Recently back on the market, the physical 6-foot-2, 210-pounder continues to progress. Chest-high leg lift with slight pause coming out of balance point leading with front hip. Athletic on the mound, he pitches out of a high three-quarter slot with loose arm action and good arm speed. Fastball sat 84-87 and had good plane to it. Nibbled too much early, but pounded the zone better in his second and third innings. Mid-70s change-up flashes plus with sink/fade and good sell, and he trusts it enough to throw it against left-handed hitters. Curveball that used to be very flat continues to develop depth and shows 11/5 shape at 70-72 now.

3/30/16 Wake Forest commit sat 84-86 early while settling in at 82-84 in later innings. Pounded zone for eight innings with 13 strikeouts against just one walk. Showed much better feel for low 70s curveball than displayed in the past and a plus feel for mid-70s changeup. Left-handed hitting two-way prospect also showed developing power to the pull side.

2/14/16 6-foot-2, 205-pound two-way prospect sat 86-87 from an high 3/4 arm slot. Displayed up-paced tempo and repeatable delivery with easy, clean arm action. Commanded fastball down in the zone with late life and some arm-side run. 76 mph change up continues to be a quality second offering at fastball arm speed. Curveball development will come. 1/7 breaker was better on this day sitting 68-71, especially when thrown with quicker arm action.

Wake Forest commit has a legitimate chance to contribute with the bat for the Demon Deacons as well. Ran a 6.91 60-yard dash and posted 97-mph exit velocity. Left-handed hitter starts with weight on his front side and unleashes an easy stroke with good bat speed when he gets it loaded back prior to launch. Hands work well and he did a nice job of getting the barrel to pitches on the inner part of the plate and still keeping the ball fair during his BP round. Moves well defensively in both the infield and outfield, where he showed 91-mph arm strength.

1/18/16 Looks more comfortable at the plate than previously seen, showing good balance and an easy stroke that produced lots of barrel contact. The Wake Forest commit ran the 60-yard dash in the 6.9-7.0 range. On the mound, the word easy again comes to mind, as he ran his fastball up to 86 and showed good feel for his mid-70s changeup.

6/17/15 Oozes projection from 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame and easy delivery. Pitched from high three-quarter slot with high front side and slightly crossfire delivery. Fastball sat 82-84, touching 85, with some run and sink. Showed very good armspeed on change-up at 76-77. Still appears to be learning to trust his curveball at 72-74 that showed a little more depth than in the past.

6/17/15 6-foot-1, 190-pound left-handed hitter. Relaxed set-up, loose, easy swing with power potential. Front hip leaves early at times. Posted an in-game 4.35 home-to-1B time. Showcased 90-mph exit velocity and 81-mph arm strength during workout (ran FB up to 85 in game). Exhibited good feet and soft glovehand with solid defensive actions.

4/15/15 Sat 81-83 with late life, loose quick arm action, showed signs of a plus changeup at times 72-74. 3 of his 7 Ks were on the CH, CB was very inconsistent left it arm side pretty much all game, was mostly fast-change. CH does have some arm side run to it.

11/1/14 Marsh featured a loose, quick arm and high leg kick that helped generate fastballs at 83-85 out of a three-quarter arm slot with minimal effort. He featured a solid change-up at 70-73 with sink when he got it out front. His curveball clocked in a 71-72 and showed a short 1/7 break, although he tended to slow his arm to throw it.  The 6-foot-1, 180-pound left-handed hitter's hands work despite triggering with no stride and swinging with his body a bit. He stays inside the ball well and has a chance to hit for some pop, as his 90-mph exit velocity indicates. He also ran a 6.99 60-yard dash and showed good feet and hands at first base.
