FORT MYERS, FL—The second day of the World Wood Bat Underclassmen Championship in was highlighted by a host of projectable arms, both committed and uncommitted. However, it was also highlighted by the opening game for the immensely talented Central Florida Gators. The Gators’ lineup on this day featured four major conference commitments with nearly all others entertaining offers. And they did not disappoint.

Enjoying a friendly wind blowing out to right field, the Gators banged out 11 hits, including three doubles and a home run to score nine runs. Uncommitted 2019 3B/RHP Andrew Roberts (Trinity Prep, FL) led the brigade at the plate and on the mound. The young right-hander started on the bump, striking out four while only allowing two hits and zero runs primarily sporting an 84-87 fastball with a developing 75 mph slider. The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder also went 2-for-4 at the plate with a booming double. The Gators also received doubles and multi-hit games from 2018 SS Tyler Callihan (Providence HS, FL; South Carolina recruit) and 2019 IF Connor Aldrich (Trinity Christian Academy, FL).
