A busy summer and fall has led to a flurry of college commitments among high end talent in the Class of 2016. With the early signing period scheduled for November 12-19 its time to focus on this year's junior class. In the coming days we will take a look at some of the top prospects in the 2016 class that remain uncommitted in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Today we focus on outfielders.

Top Uncommitted Outfielders

+ Braxton Giavedoni (Punxsutawney) is currently ranked No. 24 in the PA Class of 2016.  The 5-foot-11, 175-pound junior showed very well at the 2014 Preseason All-State Showcase in February. As a right-handed hitter, Giavedoni registered a blistering 3.94 home-to-1B time. Giavedoni is solidly built and moves effortlessly in the outfield. He displayed solid carry on throws of 83 mph to home plate. Giavedoni hits from a square stance and has extremely quick hands. He takes a direct path to the baseball and showed gap power potential with a bat exit velocity of 82 mph.

+ Julian Bury (Cedar Cliff) is a left-handed hitter with a smooth stroke who exhibits good pre-swing rhythm and a simple, inside-out approach. He runs a 6.96 60 and showed solid arm strength (84 mph) from his outfield position. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound left-handed hitter barreled everything over two days of game play during the Mid-Atlantic Border Battle in July and also showed his ability to handle the bat by dropping down a bunt base hit. Bury hits from a slightly open stance with a high hands load. He displayed a bat exit velocity of 84 mph and the ability to use all fields. Bury takes good routes to the baseball in the outfield and has the ability to cover an above average amount of territory.

+ Jake Wapinsky (Fleetwood Area) had a strong showing at the 2014 PBR Future Games in August as a member of Team Pennsylvania. Wapinsky carried the hottest stick for Team PA during the course of the event. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed hitter went 3-for-5 with a walk during game action, showing the ability to turn around upper 80s velocity. Wapinsky ran a 7.41 60-yard dash, registered a 79 mph bat exit velocity and showcased an 87 mph arm from the outfield during scout day activities. The junior made several quality throws during game action and displayed the ability to cover a good deal of ground in the outfield. Wapinsky is currently ranked No. 31 in PA.
