PBR Future Games Preview: 3B/OF Justin Williams

On August 4th through August 6th, PBR Pennsylvania will take a select team of players in the Classes of 2018 and 2019 to represent Pennsylvania at the PBR Future Games at Grand Park in Indianapolis, IN.

Players receive exposure unlike any other event for underclassmen. Last year, more than 130 colleges from all over the country were in attendance, including coaches from every Division I power conference in the nation. Only players who have a legitimate shot at being a Division I recruit and who have an interest in the possibility of making a verbal commitment during their sophomore or junior seasons have been considered.

Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 190-pound right-handed hitter is nearly a foot larger than the last time we saw him. Williams starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a short heel raise stride. The sophomore creates significant barrel whip with quick hands and solid lower half action. He showed some lift to his swing and the potential for power with a bat exit velocity of 92 mph. Williams was equally impressive defensively flashing quick, active feet and a short release with accurate 89 mph arm strength. Made the slow roller player look routine and showed the ability to make throws from multiple arm angles.
