Prior to embarking on their sophomore and freshmen seasons, 10 middle infielders descended on Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim to showcase their skills at the Preseason All-State Showcase. They are listed below in reverse alphabetical order. Why? See Philadelphia Region Director of Scouting Jake Gill's article today on Class of 2016 left-handed pitchers in attendance for the answer.

Curtis Robison, LHP, Northern York HS (PA), Class of 2017
Robison sat 76-78 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a compact, repeatable delivery. The 6-foot, 185-pound sophomore also showcased a 66 mph curveball with sharp 1/7 rotation and an above average 69 mph changeup thrown at fastball arm speed. The lefty showed solid command of all three pitches. Robison, who impressed at the PA Underclass Games last summer topping at 84 mph, is likely to see a steady rise in velocity on all his offerings as he rounds into throwing form following playing football and basketball the past six months.

Brad Richards, LHP/3B, Conwell-Egan HS (PA), Class of 2017
Richards sat 73-75 from a 3/4 arm slot with a high knee delivery. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound sophomore also showcased a 70 mph changeup at near fastball arm speed and a 67 mph changeup with tight 1/7 rotation that has a chance to be an out pitch. Richards gas a simple, repeatable delivery with a solid lower half drive that coupled with his frame should allow for velocity spikes in the coming years.

Austin Baker, 1B/LHP, Governor Mifflin HS (PA), Class of 2017
Baker sat 74-76 with some arm side run out of a 3/4 arm slot. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound lefty also showcased a 67 mph curveball with 1/7 roatation and a 70 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed. Baker has a projectable frame and has shown continuous progress on the mound with added velocity likely in the coming years.
