PBR Notes: 2016 Preseason All-State Showcase 2/14/16 6-foot, 175-pound left-handed hitter has plenty of fast-twitch projectability to his actions. Sophomore has recently closed his stance considerably and shortened his stride to take advantage of above average hands. Additional work to clear his lower half to allow his hands to work freely should lead to additional power potential. Hess registered an 89 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 6.70 60-yard dash. The sophomore moves well defensively and displayed 82 mph arm strength from the outfield.
