Sophomore Spotlight: RHP/3B Cameron Enck
December 11, 2012
Cameron Enck is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound RHP/3B from Lampeter-Strasburg HS. The big right-hander allowed one unearned run in four innings of work over two days at the PA Underclass Games in September. Enck showcased a 79mph fastball along with a 73mph curveball with an 11/5 break that he spotted well to keep hitters off balance. He ran a 7.66 60-yard dash and showcased a bat exit speed of 78mph that he used to consistently drive baseballs to all fields during his round of batting practice.
Enck is coming off of a standout freshman season for the Pioneers. He went 2-0 with a 2.47 era mostly in relief for the Pennsylvania AAA state runners-up. This coming season Enck will likely pick up many of the innings that graduated LHP Peter Darrenkamp threw last year.
