Tyler Walters is a 6-foot-1, 190 pound right-handed hitter who is the top offensive catcher in the Class of 2014. He had a remarkable high school season in 2012 for Saegertown HS batting .537 with eight home runs and 41 RBI. Walters has displayed consistent pop times of 2.05-2.10 on throws of 77 mph from the crouch. His 84 mph bat exit velocity and strong hip turn allows him to drive the ball consistently.

Walters, who played for the Allegheny Pirates this fall, was the most outstanding prospect at the Western PA Top Prospect Showcase in June.
