By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

When talking about a group of top performers in a category it’s usually easiest to decide who should head the list. It becomes increasingly more difficult as one begins to decide who must be left off the list. That being said, here is the Prep Baseball Report Pennsylvania staff’s look at the most promising right-handed pitchers in Pennsylvania.

  1. A.J. Bogucki, Class of 2013, Boyertown HS

BoguckiBogucki is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound power pitcher who sits 88-92 with his fastball. He worked a  scoreless inning in this year's Under Armour All-American game at Wrigley field.  The University of  North Carolina recruit is ranked No. 1 in PA and No. 4 in the PBR combined rankings in the Class  of 2013.

  2. Eli Nabholz, Class of 2015, Pottsville HS

Nabholz is a 6-foot-5, 205-pound sophomore who sits 84-87 with his fastball. He is an athletic  prospect who controls his body well and shows signs of significant velocity spikes in the future.  He is ranked No. 1 in PA and No. 9 in the PBR combined rankings in the Class of 2015.

  3. Colton Hock, Class of 2014, Bloomsburg HS

Hock is a 6-foot-4, 195 pound junior who has shown steady gains in velocity over the past two years. He has a tireless work ethic and should continue to add to his projectable frame. The  Stanford University commit is ranked No. 4 in PA and No. 21 in the PBR combined rankings in  the Class of 2014.

  4. Zac Burke, Class of 2013, Penn Manor HS

Burke is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound prospect who does not have the physical size of the first three  arms on our list, but gets the most out of what he has. Burke sits 83-86 with a plus changeup  that shows good arm side run. The Coastal Carolina University recruit is ranked No. 10 in PA and No. 86 in the PBR combined rankings in the Class of 2013.

  5. Andy Ravel, Class of 2013, Wilson HS

Ravel is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound prospet who sits 85-88. Much like Burke, Ravel has solid command of all of his pitches and should see additional velocity as he adds to his frame. The Kent State University recruit is ranked No. 15 in PA and No. 135 in the PBR combined rankings in the Class of 2013.

  6. Cole Boozel, Class of 2013, Mount Union HS

He missed the 2012 high school season following surgery to his throwing shoulder as a result of an injury suffered in wrestling. He has shown signs this summer and fall that he is returning to form and has recently touched 90 mph. The unsigned senior is ranked No. 16 in PA and No. 139 in the PBR combined rankings in the Class of 2013.

  7. Adam Seibert, Class of 2014, Episcopal Academy

Seibert is a 6-foot-6, 185-pound prospect with athleticism not normally found in an athlete his size.He runs a 6.80 60-yard dash and sits 83-86 with his fastball. The long limbed junior throws downhill and commands a curveball and changeup that both sit in the mid 70's. Seibert ranked No. 14 in PA and No. 83 in the PBR combined rankings in the Class of 2014.

  8. Culver Hughes, Class of 2015, West Chester East HS

Hughes is a 6-foot-3, 175-pound sophomore with a big upside. His fastball sits 82-85, but he has shown steady increases in velocity over the past 18 months. Hughes is ranked No. 9 in PA and No. 60 in the PBR combined rankings in the Class of 2015.
