The Hotlist: Class Of 2018 Winter Standouts

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

It may be winter, but there isn’t truly an offseason in baseball. Players are still getting some workouts in and some sophomores have stood out recently. Listed below are several 2018s that made an impression at a winter event and should be watched on the recruiting market.

Andrew Aultman, RHP, Graceville HS, FL
Aultman has a tall, lean, athletic and projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds. His lower half is athletic and strong and he shows a loose, live arm that comes through a high-3/4 slot. His fastball sits 86-89 mph with late life and downhill plane. His curveball sits 73-76 with short, tight and slurvy action. He also mixes in a 77-78 changeup. Aultman’s velocity has made a jump recently and should continue to do so as he physically matures. His breaking ball has improved tremendously.
