Scouting Report

9/25/20

Physical: Long and projectable 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame with a solid blend of strength / athleticism throughout. 7.01 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Wide, open stance with the hands showing moderate rhythm above the shoulder. Utilized a lift and replace stride to initiate a fluid, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone.  Solid usage of the ground for rotational power coupled with advanced hand speed in the box. Up to 23.5 mph per Blast Motion allowing for a solid hard hit percentage during batting practice (22.2% according to Trackman Baseball). Demonstrated above average feel for the barrel and repeatedly contacted the ball at the front of the plate. Got long levers inside the baseball and worked with authority through extension. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 92 mph and a top batted ball distance of 352 feet showcasing the present home run power he possesses. Quality middle of the order bat with all the signs you look for at the plate.

Defensively: The primary outfielder featured a medium center of gravity with downhill momentum through the baseball on the approach while fielding off of the left side of his body. Was able to range in either direction and stay behind the ball hit in the air, accurate high ¾ slot on throws towards the target out of a medium arm circle. OF - 80 mph … The middle infielder displayed rangy, athletic actions with active footwork on the approach, stays low through the baseball after fielding allowing the legs to help carry an accurate 75 mph arm strength across the diamond.

7/15/20

Physical: Strong / athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame with obvious projectability. 7.00 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Started with a tall, even stance with the weight slightly coiled over a bent backside as the hands began out over the plate with rhythm. Utilized a move back to the shoulder upon load coupled with a lift and replace stride to initiate a twitchy and quick, flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Was repeatedly on time and certainly did not get cheated in the box, repetitively got off high intent hacks initiated from a powerful lower half that showed solid connection to the ground. Crushed the pitch middle in with a liking for the LCF/LF side during batting practice which saw multiple lasers bounce off the wall. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 90 mph according to Trackman Baseball / electric peak hand speed of 24.70 mph per Blast Motion.

Defensively: The primary outfielder featured a medium-low center of gravity on the approach off of the left side of his body, active downhill footwork with a soft glove hand through the fielding window, accurate high ¾ slot on throws towards the target from a full arm circle / present carry. OF - 83 mph
