Uncommitted Spotlight: '23 C-INF Nathan Kress (LaSalle College)

 

Physical: Strong 6-foot-3, 215lb frame. 6.99 runner in the 60-yard dash. 

Offensively: LHH. Slightly open, crouched stance with the hands preset at the ear. Utilized a leg lift stride to initiate the swing through a flat, whippy path into the hitting zone. Worked towards the middle/pull side of the field with raw strength at impact. Produced multiple deep blasts over the RF wall, up to 100 mph bat-exit velocity and 330+ foot batted ball distance. Middle of the order presence and gets the swing off in game.

Defensively: The corner infielder showed swift footwork around the bag at third base. Chopped on the approach with soft hands, funneling inward. 87 mph arm strength across the diamond with accuracy.

 

 

 

6-foot-2, 190-pound left-handed hitter starts from an open stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Hands work very well through contact leading to consistent hard contact. Registered a bat exit velocity of 84 mph and ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Showcase active feet and solid athleticism while playing through the baseball defensively with 82 mph arm strength across the diamond.
