The Unsigned Senior Showcase took place January 28 at the Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim, PA. A total of eight seniors from across two states still searching for the right college fit showcased their talents.

Unsigned Seniors

Nolan BenkeNolan Benke, OF/RHP, Oxford Area HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and utilizes a short, leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Demonstrated a flat barrel path through the hitting zone and a solid feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. Flashed athletic actions defensively with accurate 80 mph arm strength. The two-way prospect sat 80-81 from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound. He also displayed a 70 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a 74 mph changeup with good arm speed that showed some sinking action.

Lucas FeinsteinLucas Feinstein, OF, Council Rock North HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 165-pounder registered improved measurable numbers across the board from when we last saw him in June. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a heel raise stride to initiate his swing. His hands work well through contact and he displayed the ability to use the middle of the field with a bat exit velocity of 87 mph. Ran a much improved 7.26 60-yard dash and moved well in the outfield while displayed accurate 85 mph arm strength to home plate.

Brayden LargeBrayden Large, RHP/3B, Grove City HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 160-pound two-way prospect. Righty sat 80-81 from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound. 68 mph curveball showed tight 12/6 rotation with a chance to be an out pitch at the next level. 75 mph changeup was thrown with good arm speed and showed some sink. The right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and uses a short, lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Hands work well inside and through the baseball producing consistent line drive contact with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash and showcased solid defensive actions at third base with accurate 79 mph arm strength across the diamond.

Hunter McClintockHunter McClintock, OF, Manheim Township HS (PA)
5-foot-8,155-pound left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a short lift-and replace stride. Displayed solid barrel awareness and a tendency to try to hook everything to the pull side with a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash and showcased the ability to play through the baseball with athletic actions in the outfield. Makes up for less than average arm strength (70 mph) with clean transition and solid 4-seam carry to his throws.

Daniel SabathDaniel Sabath, RHP, Christopher Dock Mennonite HS (PA)
6-foot, 175-pound right-hander was down a few ticks from his normal velocity which can be understood at this point in a winter throwing program. The athletic righty sat 80-81 from a 3/4 arm slot with an overhead rocker delivery with some hip coil action that adds to his deception. Gets down hill extremely well and gets above average drive from his lower half. Consistently commands his 71 mph slider and continues to display good sell on his 72 mph changeup that displays sink and some arm side run.

Brandyn SchuchartBrandyn Schuchart, 2B, Spring Grove Area HS (PA)

Solidly built 5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a short lift-and-replace stride. Displayed a solid feel for the barrel with some gap power and a bat exit velocity of 83 mph in a solid round of batting practice. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash and displayed accurate 76 mph arm strength across the diamond. Showcased active feet, the ability to play through the baseball and athletic actions in completing the slow roller play.

Nick StrehlNick Strehl, C/3B, Wilson Area HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and starts his swing with a short lift-and-replace stride. Sits on back side well and displays barrel awareness with some length to his swing. Registered a 74 mph bat exit velocity. Ran a 7.82 60-yard dash and displayed pop times of 2.31-2.37 on throws of 67 mph from the crouch. Also showed accurate 68 mph arm strength across the diamond while working out as a third baseman.

Gordon SwigerGordon Swiger, RHP/OF, Bridgeport HS (WV)
5-foot-11, 175-pound two-way prospect with athletic frame. Primary pitcher sat 76-78 from a high 3/4 arm slot showing the ability to hold his velo out of the stretch. 67 mph curveball shows tight 11/5 rotation and 67 mph slider shows similar break. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash and showcased accurate 78 mph arm strength from his outfield position. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a short, lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Barreled the baseball routinely in a strong round of batting practice driving balls to the middle of the diamond with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph.
