Updated Class of 2014 Rankings Released

SabinoThe updated Class of 2014 rankings have been released in advance of the start of the Fall College Prospect Program beginning this weekend. Rankings will be updated next in October at the completion of the fall program.

Fresh off his solid performance at the Area Code Games, SS Liam Sabino (Vanderbilt) remains in the No. 1 spot. Sabino is followed by 1B J.J. Matijevic (Arizona), LHP Brendan McKay (Louisville), RHP Zach Schellenger (Seton Hall) and RHP Colton Hock (Stanford) in spots two through five.

Biggest Movers:

RHP/3B Nick Distasio, Oley Valley HS

Distasio is fresh off an impressive performance in the Big 26 Classic. The member of Team Pennsylvania hit a solo home run in game one of the event. The uncommitted senior has shown legitimate power potential and sits in the upper 80's off the mound. Distasio moved 15 spots to No. 13 in the current rankings.

RHP/SS Connor Coward, Seneca Valley HS

Coward is a Virginia Tech recruit that has legitimate two-way potential. The righty sits 85-88 while touching 90 on occasion. He is also a 6.85 runner with the ability to make all plays in the middle infield. Coward moves 18 spots to No. 16 in the current rankings.

LHP A.J. Olasz, West Mifflin HS

Olasz is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound lefty that sits in 83-85 but has been up to 88 this summer. The University of Cincinnati recruit also commands a mid-70's curveball and and a 76 mph changeup thrown at fastball arm speed. Olasz jumped 13 spots in the latest rankings to number 17.
