Session Two of the Winter College Prospect Showcase took place on January 16 at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim, PA. Today we begin our analysis of the prospects in attendance by reviewing the Class of 2019. CLICK HERE to view complete results for all prospects in attendance.

Dominick Kennedy, OF/SS, Twin Valley HS
Dominick Kennedy6-foot, 145-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a toe tap stride to initiate his swing. The freshman sits on his back side and creates some lift with above average barrel whip (82 mph bat exit velocity). Projectable frame should continue to fill out and athleticism is evident in his actions. Ran top 60-yard dash at the event (6.82). A tendency to field the baseball flat footed resulted in a 73 mph outfield arm reading on this date. Continued physical development and additional work to play through the baseball will lead to improved arm strength.

Ethan Rockwell, OF/2B, Shippensburg Area HS
Ethan Rockwell5-foot-10, 130-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly closed stance and strides to front foot side with significant weight shift. Displayed a consistent feel for the barrel with a tendency to pull the bat head through the hitting zone leading to a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. Freshman ran a solid 7.03 60-yard dash and displayed 70 mph arm strength from the outfield. Physical maturity and strength gains will benefit Rockwell's all-around game moving forward.
