2016 Overall Rankings: By The Numbers

By Nathan Rode

The Early Signing Period came to a close this week with seniors across the country making verbal commitments official by signing their National Letters of Intent. Let’s take a look how the 2016 Overall Rankings break down from a commitment perspective.

By Level
Division I:
383 (95.75%)
Junior College: 6 (1.5%)
NAIA: 1 (.25%)
Undecided: 10 (2.5%)

When we did this exercise in 2014, there were 345 prospects committed to D-I programs. This year, there was nearly a 9 percent increase. The reason for that is simply added states to the PBR coverage area. Florida, New Jersey and others added rankings to the mix in the last year, thus adding depth to the Overall Rankings.
