2018 Scout Day: Brampton - Quick Hits

Chris Kemlo
PBR Ontario Director of Scouting

Last Sunday we hosted the Brampton Royals for their own personal Scout Day. We take a look at a few players from 2018-2022 classes that were in attendance here in quick hits as there were big gains made by some players with a look at a few fresh faces as well.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding and updating profiles for each of the players in attendance, including complete analysis and video.

Ontario Insider: 2018 Scout Day: Brampton - Quick Hits

The Arms

There were a handful of arms that stood out on the day, with some really young promising arms in the fold. Two young arms in 2020 6-foot-4 right-hander Will Watson and 2021 left-hander Mitchell Bratt made quick impressions on our staff early in their respective bullpens.

William Watson RHP / 3B / David Suzuki, ON / 2020

Watson is a can’t miss prospect as he stands 6-foot-4 and is easy to notice as soon as he walks into the park or building. He was up to 86 mph and sat 84 for the majority of his pen. More of a thrower than pitcher at the moment, there is strength in the arm and was able to create down angle with his fastball when on top. Still some things to polish up for Watson, but it’s something to dream on with lots of upside and more velocity to come.
