We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ohio's 2017 Scout Day: Release/Longhorn/Premier. This was a great opportunity for the class of 2018-2021 prospects to be put on college radars. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase.

The Arms

Matthew Geraci, RHP, St. Ignatius, 2019
Scouting Report: Projectable frame with room to develop physically. Showed obvious quickness in his arm action and an athletic delivery. Throws through a low-¾ slot. Fastball has a lot of arm-side run to it topping out at 85 mph. He showed command of the pitch and sat 79-82 mph. Slider has late breaking two plane action at 68-69 mph, as he develops physically he will see an increase in velocity on the pitch. The changeup is probably his best pitch. He showed command to both sides of the plate with arm-side run at 74-75 mph.

Garrett Priestley, LHP, Buckeye, 2018
Scouting Report: A southpaw with a very projectable frame had a very impressive showing on the mound. Fastball sat 84-87 mph while majority of his pitches did not get below 86 mph. Fastball showed a lot of natural ASR and occasional sink. Best secondary pitch was the changeup which was thrown at 72-73 mph and had good downward action. Curveball shows potential and the correct shape and spin. Expect for it to get much better as it is thrown harder.

Eric Schilling, RHP, Stow-Munroe Falls, 2018
Scouting Report: A right-handed pitcher with a big, strong frame and long legs. Showed a solid three-pitch mix. Arm works well through a high-¾ arm slot. Fastball sat  80-82 mph with some arm side run. Change up is a very good pitch thrown with fastball arm speed and hard downward action at 69-72 mph. Curveball has good bite in a near 12/6 shape at 67-68 mph.
