Team Summary

Coach Steve Chapman and his Calallen Wildcats look to make some noise this year in 4A after exiting in the 2nd round of the 5A playoffs in 2019. Coach Chapman lacks depth this year but will have quality pitching and overall team speed to carry them to the playoffs. 2022 LHP Justin Lamkin (Texas A&M commit) will lead the way on the mound for the Wildcats. Lamkin is ranked as the #3 overall LHP in the PBR State Rankings for the '22 Class. 2021 RHP/OF Colten McCreary and 2022 LHP/OF Roberto Perez will also be arms to rely on for Coach Chapman. The Lineup is led by 2021 SS Luke Smith (New Mexico signee) who is ranked the #13 SS in the PBR State Rankings for the '22 Class. 2022 1B Ernest Valverde, 2022 OF Terik Hickmon and 2022 3B Brayden Sprencel are also big pieces in the lineup this year. The pitching and team speed are there for the Wildcats and Coach Chapman will look for a few players to step up and provide depth as the season gets underway. The Wildcats will rely on frontline pitching and their team speed to propel them to a playoff run.
