Chris Benavides, RHP, Klein Collins, 2019
Sam Houston State commit. Estimated 6-foot, 170-pound athletic, lean frame. The right-hander throws from ¾ slot with a long, loose arm swing. His fastball was 88-89 mph early on and settled in later on at 85-87 mph, flashing the ability to command it low in the zone to both sides of the plate. He also threw a slider that was 75-77 mph with 10-4 shape. He threw the slider a lot to keep batters off balance and was his out pitch the entire night.
