See some quick notes and video on players from this past week's games where our Mid-Atlantic Ground Forces staff was out.
Midlothian at Glen Allen
Evan Miller SS / Midlothian, VA / 2025Athletic two way player. Got the start at second and picked up his only hit of the day, a double down the right field line in his first at bat. Showed fluid actions on a few plays he made at second base. Hopped on the mound for two innings maintaining velo at 81-83 and flashed a curveball at 69-71. Fastball worked glove side with late life in the zone. The breaking ball had a shorter shape and had some feel for it in the zone.
Brady Paul OF / LHP / Midlothian, VA / 2025Athletic frame with a smooth swing at the plate. Shows a good approach with line drive tendencies to all fields. Picked up a single with a line drive back side into left field. Made routine plays in the outfield.
Christopher Johnson 1B / RHP / Glen Allen, VA / 2023Had a solid day overall. Had a productive day at the plate with two doubles. Shows feel for the barrel with an aggressive approach. Athletic defender at first base. Came in to pitch two solid innings. Fastball was 83-85 T86 in the first inning with riding life. Worked around some trouble in the first inning with a walk and a bloop single. Velo ticked down in second inning of work at 80-83 T84. Featured a sharp slider at 74-76. Worked with the slider more in the second inning.

Daniel Nienaber RHP / OF / Glen Allen , VA / 2026The UVA commit was strong on the mound, especially for an early March outing. Worked with tempo and attacked the zone with his entire arsenal. Threw two innings where the fastball was consistently 84-86 with quite a few 86's, but mostly 85. Showed feel for a curveball at 69-71. Also, had some feel for a changeup as well at 77-78. |
Ben Pulliam OF / SS / Glen Allen, VA / 2025Pulliam was a name to highlight coming into this game and our staff came away impressed. Athletic build with some present strength. Has a calm and collected presence on the field. Quick hands with feel for the barrel. Had a line drive single in the first then followed up in his last at bat with a triple down the right field line. Played in center making a few routine plays.
Jackson Toole 3B / OF / Glen Allen, VA / 2025Toole was a barrel finder all day. Hit in the leadoff spot with an aggressive approach and feel for the zone. Has an advanced hit tool. Didn't receive any fielding action at third. Chance to be a premier bat in the Richmond area this spring.

Archbishop Spalding at Benedictine
Peyton Mamula RHP / 1B / Archbishop Spalding, MD / 2025
Ethan McNally C / RHP / Archbishop Spalding, MD / 2023
Bryce Adams 2B / SS / Benedictine College Prep, VA / 2024When you see Adams you see an athletic, pure hitter. Has a mature, yet aggressive approach in the box. Picked up a hit in game one during a pinch hit opportunity. Leading off the inning with a loud stand up double into the left center gap. Shows some strength in the swing.
Elijah Coston OF / LHP / Benedictine, VA / 2024Coston showed an aggressive approach in game one. Led off the second inning by swinging at the first pitch he saw, sending it into left for a single. That being his only hit of the game still showed positive signs of a good approach by being aggressive and using the whole field.

Sam Kaczmarek CF / RHP / Benedictine, VA / 2024
Flint Hill at Collegiate
Kamari Chisolm SS / OF / Flint Hill, VA / 2025Thin athletic frame. Switch hitter with some solid bat to ball from both sides of the plate. Above average run tool. Swing was a touch more fluid from the left side and allows the run tool to play up just a touch. Level path swing that is contact driven. One to watch as he adds strength to the frame and allows it to translate into the offense.

Benjamin Meeks SS / 3B / Flint Hill, VA / 2023

Jett Bristow C / OF / Collegiate School, VA / 2025
