With the summer behind us and the 2026 State Rankings being released at the end of last month, we’re taking a look at some of the top uncommitted players within this update. Today, we are taking a look at the top-10 uncommitted middle infielders. This list is full of impact bats and defenders that are still looking for a home.

From 7/31/25: "A standout during the high school season for Hartford, Kolb would continue to showcase a quality up-the-middle profile throughout the event. At the plate, presents a balanced, slightly open base with a simple stride and direct bat path. Sported a max exit velocity of 94.4 mph to pair with an 85.8 mph average. Defensively showed rangy actions on the dirt with developing arm strength and present instincts that played up during gameplay." |

From 3/28/25: "INF Owen McLellan (Shorewood, 2026) is a toolsy uncommitted infielder in the state’s junior class. The athletic 5-foot-10, 163 pound infielder took a quality round, repeatedly finding the barrel and driving the ball through the middle of the field. The impact ticked up over the offseason reaching 92.3 mph max exit velocity. Defensively, McLellan has a chance to stick on the left-side at the next level, with speed that shows up on the field, easily covering ground, with enough arm strength up to 85 mph." |

From 7/17/25: "Krause would show a quality up-the-middle profile with athleticism that consistently played up on both sides of the ball. At the plate is a quiet presence while showcasing a line-drive approach with a developing feel for the barrel. Defensively showed athletic actions with fluid footwork and confident hands. 5-foot-10, 184-pound frame." |

From 3/4/25: "INF Matt Schoenfeldt (Whitefish Bay, 2026) is a sweet swinging middle infielder who put on display during batting practice with his round on Saturday. He registered a max exit velocity of 93 mph and was hitting line drives throughout his round. Schoenfeldt also showcased clean actions and feet during defensive work. The wiry built junior should add size and strength to his 6-foot-2, 176 pound frame which make him an intriguing prospect in the state." |

Presenting a spread-out based and medium stride, Vogler showcased a loose and handsy, line-drive oriented right-handed swing. Took a quality of batting practice with a max exit velocity of 96 mph along with an 87.4 mph average. Finished gameplay 3-for-5 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored. With evident defensive instincts and range, the Sun Prairie East product has enough baseball acumen to stick up the middle, with the keystone acting as a safe floor as he continues to add explosiveness and strength to his present toolset." |

From 7/31/25: "Scaffido presents a balanced setup in the box, utilizing a toe tap to get into a position of launch with a smooth, effortless right-handed swing, staying consistently balanced throughout. Defensively, plays through the ball on the infield with a quick, easy arm action and a max infield velocity of 87 mph. On the mound, the right-handed arm showed a fastball up to 84 mph to go along with a pair of upper-60s-low-70s breaking balls. Athletic 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame with room for added strength. Launched a no-doubt home run to left in gameplay." |

At the plate, from the left-side Fitzke took a polished round of BP with evident bat-to-ball ability and feel to manipulate the barrel. A compact and downhill path with instant and visible bat speed, averaging 73.5 mph throughout his round, with a more consistent ability to impact the baseball reaching a 95.9 mph max exit velocity while maintaining an average of 89.8 mph. Defensively Fitzke is a steady defender with confident hands and a quick release with an arm up to 81 mph." |
