WV Top Prospect Games: Day One Highlights

Embedded image permalinkThe WV Top Prospect Games kicked off Day One activities with two games at the YMCA Kennedy Center Field in Huntington yesterday. Action concludes today with defensive evaluations and two more nine inning games. Look for complete statistical results as well as an analysis of all prospects in attendance during the coming week.

For now here are some of the top performances from the first day of action including MEASURABLE data.

grey Team:


+ 2017 MIF Ryan Loughry (Hurricane) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored in game action.

+ 2016 C Dylan Foster (Woodrow Wilson) went 2-for-3 with a double in game action.

+ 2017 3B/OF Kirk Jennings (Cabell Midland) impressed during the evaluation period, registering a 90 mph bat exit velocity and flashing a 6.70 60-yard dash. 

RED Team:


+ 2016 MIF/OF Zachary Lively (South Charleston) went 2-for-3 in game action.

+ 2017 RHP/OF Hunter Treece (Pine-Richland, PA) went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored in game action and registered an 88 mph bat exit velocity in the evaluation period.

BLUE team:


+ 2017 OF Ben Arthur (George Washington) went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in game action. Arthur also turned in the top 60-yard dash of the day at 6.62.

+ 2016 MIF Brady Minetti (Montour, PA) went 2-for-3 a run scored and an RBI in game play. Minetti also flashed athletic actions defensively and ran a 6.77 60-yard dash.

+ 2016 OF/LHP Blake Randell (Ellwood City, PA) went 2-for-3 in game action with an RBI and a stolen base. Randell also showed above average foot speed (6.96 60-yard dash)

+ 2016 OF/1B Austin Puskar (Connellsville, PA) went 2-for-3 in game action.

+ 2017 OF/RHP John Servello (Hollidaysburg) impressed with his all-around abilities. The 6-foot, 195-pound two-way prospect flashed an 88 mph bat exit velocity, ran a 6.94 60-yard dash and topped all Day One pitchers at 87 mph off the bump.

white team:


+ 2016 3B/RHP Corey Fogle (Connelsville, PA - 92 mph) and 2017 1B/OF Jake Trautman (Central Catholic, PA - 91 mph) showcased two of the top bat exit velocities of the day.

+ 2016 OF Adam Cisney (Peters Township) showed a well-rounded skill set with an 85 mph bat exit velocity and above average foot speed (6.85 60-yard dash).

+ 2018 RHP Bryce Grenet (Pine-Richland, PA) impressed working three solid innings topping at 81 mph with command of a three pitch mix. 2017 RHP/MIF Cory Storm (Hollidaysburg, PA) was equally as impressive, topping at 85 mph while showcasing a hard-biting slider at 75 mph. Storm showed his athleticism running a 6.89 60-yard dash.
