‘21 southpaw that attacked hitters from a high ¾ arm slot and showed a “loose arm”. The FB was consistently 81-82 mph and topped at 83 several times. He showed nice ASR on the FB and also did a very nice job of pitching in vs. RH hitters. The breaking ball was 73- 74 mph and showed slider type action but his best offspeed pitch was his CH at 72-73 mph with real nice action. There was nice deception vs. hitters on the CH. 2/13/19 - 6-foot-1, 170-pound left-handed pitcher, athletically-built, strong frame. On the mound, arm works short, showing on the back-side, ¾ slot, low effort. Tall and fall delivery, leads with hip, works on-line, lands square, finishes athletically, repeats. Fastball sat 77-79 with run and sink. Curveball, 71-72, 1/7 shape, depth. Changeup, fade action, 71-73.
08/25/18- Uncommitted, Projectable frame with long limbs. Easily had the most fluid and repeatable delivery at this showcase. Throws from a 3/4 arm action with a long arm swing in the back. Presently the young lefty works at 80-81 mph with his fastball that he commands well to both sides of the plate with good angle into righties. His breaking ball was a 71-72 mph sweeping slider that projects to be an above average pitch for him. Also showed a solid changeup at 72-73 with a little depth. More to come as he matures.
