5-foot-11, 155-pound. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 87 mph. Setup is comprised of an athletic open stance and a small leg kick. Bat speed was electric, used an upward swing plane and a front foot finish. Had some loud contact and found lots of barrels. Gap to gap approach. Showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 87 mph; had sure hands, and fluid footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a very quick arm action and consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.13.
5-foot-11, 150-pound projectable frame. Recorded a 60 time of 7.55 at the event. Sets up in an open stance with a leg kick. Bat speed was explosive, displayed upward swing plane and high finish. Barreled up multiple balls throughout the round. Pull side approach. the left-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 87 mph. Advanced in the infield, displayed a velocity of 78 mph; shows athletic feet, next Level hands and a quick exchange. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag.
Young arm (‘23 grad) that showed an easy delivery from a mid ¾ slot on the mound. The fastball was up to 76 mph with nice arm side action and the breaking ball was more of a slider as the pitch showed late side to side action at 65- 68 mph. Clean mechanics on the young pitcher. A very nice looking swing from the left side that is well synched. The extension through contact is plus and he uses the lower half very well. Shows an ability to handle all pitches and drive the ball to all fields. The swing plane has very slight tilt. Love the swing on this young guy. Actions at SS are athletic and the glove works well. Throws were very accurate to 1B and the arm strength will continue to progress as he physically matures.
Slick fielding ‘23 SS that had a solid day on The Plains. The approach from the left side at the plate is solid from a slightly open stance. Really stayed on balls and did a nice job with his top hand. Showed a mature middle of the field approach during BP and got nice extension through the finish. Very simple actions with no wasted action. Showed big time actions at SS and feel for the position with advanced foot work and really showed well with the glove. A quick transfer and nice arm strength are also part of his game. A ‘23 to follow as he continues to progress physically.
